Which printers can be used with CR80?
Support depends on the model, installed options and connection method. We distinguish between documented models, preview profiles and configurations tested for production.
Support criteria
A printer configuration is supported after its model, options and connection have been tested with printing, error handling and the installed encoders.

Preview profile
A profile is available for configuration and preview checks. The printer is not yet approved for production.
Documented model
Manufacturer information is available for planning and comparison. The model cannot be selected for production.

The profiles are used to check designs and configurations. They cannot yet be used for live printing.

What CR80 checks
What the verification covers
Model and profile version
The station reads the printer model. A new profile version must be confirmed again.
Installed modules
Duplex units, laminators and other options are only available when they exist in the profile and are confirmed.
Encoders
Magnetic, contact and contactless encoders are handled separately from the printer itself.
Ribbons and base cards
The ribbon and cards in the printer must match the job and the confirmed equipment.
Status and error handling
An empty ribbon, no cards or a printer error stops the job. Ambiguous print failures require operator review.
Per-card acknowledgements
Every card is tracked through encoding and printing so a failure is never reported as successful production.
