Design and produce cards on your own equipment

CR80 keeps the design and data in one project. Before printing, the job is checked against the selected printer, its options and materials.

Before production

Every job is checked against the printer and materials before production.

CR80 Print Station connects CR80 to the card printer and manages the print queue. Production requires a printer configuration supported by CR80.

When in-house production fits

For organisations that print cards on site

01

Regular card issuance

HR teams, schools, reception desks and membership organisations that create cards continuously.

02

Photos and details captured on site

Add details and photos when the card is issued, using a locked master design.

03

Your own equipment

Print on your organisation's own printers and use installed encoders and options.

The workflow

From design to printing

Preview and production use the same design format and dimensions. The printer and materials are also checked before printing.

Produce

Encode chips and magnetic tracks before printing. Each card is acknowledged separately.

Equipment

The printer and its options need to be known

Two printers of the same model can have different features. Local production is therefore configured from the equipment that is actually installed.

1

A card printer with a CR80 profile

CR80 Print Station must be able to identify the printer model and profile version.

2

Confirmed modules and encoders

Duplex units, magnetic encoders, smart-card encoders and laminators are treated as physical equipment.

3

The right ribbon and base cards

The ribbon and cards in the printer must match the job before production.

4

A computer near the printer

CR80 Print Station connects outbound to cr80.se and manages the local print queue.
