Regular card issuance
HR teams, schools, reception desks and membership organisations that create cards continuously.
In-house card production
CR80 keeps the design and data in one project. Before printing, the job is checked against the selected printer, its options and materials.
One project
Before production
CR80 Print Station connects CR80 to the card printer and manages the print queue. Production requires a printer configuration supported by CR80.
When in-house production fits
HR teams, schools, reception desks and membership organisations that create cards continuously.
Add details and photos when the card is issued, using a locked master design.
Print on your organisation's own printers and use installed encoders and options.
The workflow
Preview and production use the same design format and dimensions. The printer and materials are also checked before printing.
Build the front and back with layers, dimensions, images, text and codes.
Add people, photos and spreadsheet data. Review every completed card.
Match the job against the printer model, modules, encoders, ribbon and loaded base cards.
Encode chips and magnetic tracks before printing. Each card is acknowledged separately.
Equipment
Two printers of the same model can have different features. Local production is therefore configured from the equipment that is actually installed.
CR80 Print Station must be able to identify the printer model and profile version.
Duplex units, magnetic encoders, smart-card encoders and laminators are treated as physical equipment.
The ribbon and cards in the printer must match the job before production.
CR80 Print Station connects outbound to cr80.se and manages the local print queue.
